COACH CHAD MCGEHEE
Coach McGehee comes to the Mountain for his first season as head coach from Parkview High School. Coach McGehee will be working with the Quarterbacks while coordinating the offense. Prior to his position at Parkview, he was the Head Coach at Elkmont High School in Alabama. He took over a program at Elkmont that had been 1-9 for two consecutive seasons and led them to their first winning season in 5 years. Prior to that position, he served as Defensive and Special Teams Coordinator at Grayson High School. He assisted in starting the Grayson Football program going 25-10 in their first four years, including the schools first Region Championship and back to back playoff appearances. Coach McGehee holds Masters Degree from Ball State University and a Bachelors Degree from the University of Alabama, where he walked on and earned two varisty letters and become an All-SEC Academic Athlete. He also served in the U.S. Army National Guard Bravo Battery Unit which was mobilized and served in Operation Enduring Freedom.
Coach McGehee and his wife Amy have two sons Brett (5) and Clayton (1).

COACH JASON ROQUEMORE
Coach Jason Roquemore will be coaching the Inside Linebackers and Running Backs as well as serving as the Mustang s defensive coordinator. Coach Roquemore also teaches in the P.E. Department where he serves as the assistant strength and conditioning coach. The 2010 season marks Coach “Rock”’s 6th season with the Mustang staff, following a coaching stint at Carrolton High School in Carrolton, GA where he was also the head girls soccer coach. Once at the Mountain, Coach Rock made an immediate presence coaching the Inside Linebackers as well as taking over the head job with the girls soccer program at KMHS leading them to two consecutive playoff appearances.
Coach Rock was a 4 year letterman at Riverdale High School where he played inside linebacker and played outside linebacker at West Georgia University.
Coach Rock and his wife Julie have a son Hyatt (2).

COACH DON BAKER
Coach Don Baker is the Outside Linebackers & Outside Receivers coach as well as the Special Teams Coordinator. Coach Baker teaches World History in the Social Studies Department. Coach Baker enters his 10th season with the Mustangs staff and 11th overall. Coach Baker spent time at Valdosta High School prior to coming to KMHS, as a member of the 1998 State Championship coaching staff, coaching defensive ends and linebackers on the 9th grade and JV levels. Coach Baker also is a co-coordinator of the middle school off-season morning workout program and is involved with the recruiting process to give our Mustangs a chance to play at the next level. Coach Baker is also the webmaster for the KMHS football and volleyball websites.
Coach Baker was a four year letterman in football and track at Valdosta High School. Also, Coach Baker was a member of the 1992 National Championship team at VHS. Coach Baker was named to the Region 1-AAAA all region team, awarded the WCTV Super 6 Football Award and was named Best Defensive Lineman on the 1994 team at VHS , which he co-captained. Following high school Coach Baker attended Georgia Southern University for three years then returned home and graduated from Valdosta State with a Bachelor’s of Secondary Education. Coach Baker has also earned a Master Degree in Educational Administration from Jacksonville State University.
Coach Baker and his wife Erin have a son Aiden (2) and a daughter Bayley born July 9th, 2010.

COACH JEFF BETTIS
Coach Bettis begins his 11th year at KMHS. He will be working with the defensive secondary and inside receivers while teaching in the Social Studies Department at KMHS. Before landing at KMHS, Coach Bettis taught and coached at both Paulding County High School and Hiram High School.
Coach Bettis holds a B.S. of Secondary Education in Social Studies from Kennesaw State University and a Masters of Arts in Christian Studies from Luther Rice University.

COACH JIMMY WHITTEMORE
Coach Jimmy Whittemore begins his 10th season working with the Mustangs offensive line as well as serving as the JV offense co-coordinator Coach “Whitt”’s coaching career includes stops at Starkville Academy in Miss., Carrollton High in Ala., South Cobb and Woodland High School. At the Mountain, Coach Whitt also coaches on the Mustang Baseball staff and teaches Math.
Coach Whitt competed in football and track at Sprayberry High School and upon graduation played football at Holmes Jr. College. Following time there, Coach Whitt continued his education at Mississippi State University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree and then received his Master’s degree from Jacksonville State University.
Coach Whitt and his wife Melonie have three boys named Tyler, Trey & Tanner.

COACH ZACH REED
Coach Zach Reed begins his 7th year as part of the Mustangs staff coaching the defensive line. Coach Reed is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and leads the Mustang strength and conditioning program.
Coach Reed is a graduate of South Cobb High School and Tennessee Tech. While at Tennessee Tech, Coach Reed received a BS in Health and Physical Education and a MA in Instructional Leadership.

COACH CHRIS WALKER
Coach Walker enters his 10th season with the Mustangs and his 13th season coaching overall. Coach Walker will be the 9th grade head coach coordinating the freshmen defense while coaching the freshmen offensive line also. Coach Walker also teaches in the P.E Department at KMHS and serves as the KMHS Boys Golf coach. Prior to coming to the Mountain, Coach Walker spent 3 years at Pebblebrook High School where he was involved with both the football and baseball programs. Coach Walker has also coached with the baseball Mustangs from 2001-2007 as well as the varsity swim team from 2001-2005.
Coach Walker is a graduate of Shamrock High School where he played both football and baseball. Following graduation Coach Walker earned his B.S. in Health and Physical Education from Georgia State University.
Coach Walker and his wife Amy have two children a son Michael and daughter Kalyn.

COACH DAVID REASON
Coach Reason enters his 11th season with the Mustangs and his 16th season of coaching total. As a member of the original staff at the Mountain Coach Reason has served in many capacities including Varsity Receivers coach from 2000-2003, the Head JV coach from 2000-2003 and his current position as offensive coordinator and defensive line coach for the freshmen Mustangs staff.
Coach Reason also has been the KMHS Head Swim Coach since the school opened in 2000 earning Cobb County Swimming and Diving Coach of the Year 5 times.
Coach Reason has also worked with the Mustang Track team in years past. Coach Reason teaches in the Social Studies department at KMHS teaching Government and Economics classes.
Before coming to KMHS Coach Reason made stops at Stone Mountain High School where he was involved with both the football and swim teams and Stephenson High School where he served as the JV Offensive Coordinator and Special Teams coach as well as the Assistant Head Track Coach winning state titles in1997 & 1998. Coach Reason then moved to Harrison High School where he coached both football and swimming.
Coach Reason is a graduate of Shamrock High School where he excelled in swimming, still holding 2 school records, football playing free safety and track where he was part of the 1988 State Championship Team as a member of the sprints, relay and jump teams. Following graduation Coach Reason attended West Georgia University to receive his Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education.
Coach Reason and his wife Holly have 2 children Brett (7) and Reagan (4).

COACH RICH ORIA
Coach Rich Oria begins his 11th season with the Mustangs coaching on the freshman level working with the wide receivers and defensive backs. Coach Oria is also apart of the Mustang Baseball staff, which have won three consecutive Region 5-AAAAA titles as well as a finals appearance in 2007. Before his time at the mountain, Coach Oria spent time at Pebblebrook High School where he coached football and baseball as well.
Coach Oria is a 1992 graduate of Illinois State University with a B.S. in Physical Education and a 2005 graduate of the University of Alabama with a Masters in Health Studies.
Coach Oria and his wife Jennifer have two sons; Jos who is a member of the Mustang football team and Ryne.

COACH STEVE KEULS
Coach Keuls enters his season 9th with the Mustangs, as the Head Athletic Trainer, and his 18th overall as an athletic trainer to programs throughout the county. Coach Keuls also teaches sports medicine in the P.E. Department. Before coming to KMHS Coach Keuls served as the head trainer for Pinnacle Orthopedics from 1991-2000 where he participated in an Outreach Program at Etowah, Sprayberry, North Cobb and Harrison High Schools.
Coach Keuls originally graduated from The Anneewakee School where he played quarterback on the football team then attended Dekalb Community College to receive his Associates Degree in Science. Coach Keuls then attended East Carolina University to receive his Bachelors degree before attending the University of Alabama to receive his Masters degree. Coach Keuls has since earned his Ed. Specialists Degree from Lincoln Memorial University.
